Zach on Scrumpy Daddy

Unexpected Sunday evening

Mon, 26 Mar 2012 07:37:35 -0400

We had some out of town family come visit us today to see the kids and had some fresh baked chocolate chip cookies I made earlier in the day. It was a good visit and everyone was having a great day. We realized that someone needed to head out to the store to pick up a few essentials for the next few days, and decided to make it a family trip to get everyone out of the house for a bit before dinner.

We went to the museum

The next few posts will be mostly pictures of things we've been doing lately. Every day, I have high hopes of writing novellas on our recent adventures with the kids, but never manage to accomplish much, so I'll just stick to images for a bit. At least I can offer a glimpse of what the kids have been doing and how they are growing. :-)

In February, we went to the museum with Grammy & Aunt Becky.

Zach's cognitive leaps

Wed, 16 Mar 2011 22:02:28 -0400

Zach's cognitive development has just exploded lately. He is twenty months old now, and he is saying and doing so many things. He LOVES to play with Abby and has been saying, "Abby! Abby! Abby!" constantly for about a month now. He likes to hand her cup to her, and when he gets a snack, he INSISTS on you giving one to Abby as well, saying, "Abby?", and pointing to the snack and into the other room, then "Abby!", and will have a fit if you don't get some for her. When he heads upstairs to get changed or brush his teeth or anything, he'll start climbing up the steps, then stop and say, "Abby!" and scoot back down and go get her to go with him. He really loves being with her right now.

High-speed video slide show! (or "Pummelvision")

Thu, 03 Feb 2011 07:15:42 -0500

I ran across this neat online tool a few weeks ago called Pummelvision that will create a video of any selection of your photos from various online photo repositories and throw a simple, energetic beat soundtrack on it. It is no more than a photo slide show, but it is done at high speed, which encourages you to use more photos than you would use in a traditional photo slide show.

Zach loves trees

Fri, 19 Feb 2010 04:59:57 -0500

Not a long post, but I wanted to record this to make sure we remember it.

Zach LOVES trees! From when he was very little (a few weeks old), leaves blowing in the wind would always catch his eye, and he would just stare & stare at them, and smile at them as they blew in the wind. He loves looking out the window of the car at trees we are passing.
